Okay, in my world I’ve transitioned to Fall-we won’t talk about the fact that it’s still in the upper 80s or 90s every day! So apples, pumpkins, mums and gourds are all I can think about!
I whipped up this easy cinnamon apple bread recipe last weekend to prepare for the momentous occasion of college football starting back up and wanted to share it with you today. This bread is ah-mazingly delicious (I know I made that word up but believe me, it warrants it’s own made up superlatives!)

Apple Bread Recipe
I can’t even describe to you how insanely good this apple bread makes your house smell while its baking-and it’s perfection to have a slice when it’s warm out of the oven! If you try it too I’d love it if you popped back and gave it a five-star review in the comments section!
How to Make Apple Bread
- Mix the cinnamon sugar and chop your apples. Set aside.
- Stir up batter in a stand mixer (affiliate link) or with a hand mixer.
- Spray a loaf pan with nonstick spray and pour in half of the batter. Top with half of the apples and cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Pour in remaining batter and tops with remaining apples and cinnamon sugar.
- Pat toppings into the top of the bread with the back of a spoon and bake for 50 minutes.
- Let cool ten minutes before removing from the pan.
Tips for Making the Best Apple Bread
- Be sure to choose a firm apple variety such as Granny Smith, Pink Lady, Gala or Fuji. Softer types of apples won’t stand up to the baking.
- Swirl a knife through the batter if desired before baking.
Can I Freeze Apple Bread?
Yes, this bread freezes well. Simply allow the bread to cool completely then wrap in foil and store in a freezer bag. When you are ready to eat the bread, allow to thaw at room temperature before serving.

Hi Melissa love your recipes but not happy with all the ads do you have a book with all of the recipe love to hear from you
Sorry the ads are aggravating Stella, I totally understand. I try to keep them from being too annoying but they support this website and my family so it’s a balancing act. I do have a few mini recipe books, if you email me at melissa @ thehappierhomemaker.com I can send them to you!
Yummy! I opted for half the suggested brown sugar and cinnamon mixture and was still plenty sweet to my taste.
It was pretty good, but a little on the dry side. What could I add to make it a little moister?
I had this pinned a long time and just made it on Sunday, it is soooooo good! I would not change a thing about it. It was not overly sweet and I could not get enough of it!! It did not last long and I definitely plan on making again before the week is out. Thanks for a great recipe.
where is the salt?
I agree, and I’m mad that I didn’t realize until after making it that it was missing salt. 😢
The Best bread ever!
Thanks
Next time
I’d mix apples all through batter &use least 2-3 apples -still layer cinnamon sugar mix in middle & on top. I tripled recipe worked great.
Absolutely amazing 10/10!!!
Thank you, Melissa, for this recipe! I made it this morning and it is GONE! Yes, my husband smelled it and wipe out almost all of it today. LOL! I plan on making another tomorrow and hiding it! I added an additional apple and more cinnamon. Any way you bake this Apple Cinnamon Bread, it is fantastic!
Yay! I’m so glad you liked it!!
Can you make this bread in a Bundt pan, doubling the ingredients?
I just tried doubling it and it didn’t turn out the same. It got way too big and overflowed. I think all the ingredients can be doubled, except maybe baking powder? Next time I’ll stick with the recipe as written (and make it twice) instead of doubling.
It was just straight sugar lol
Very delicious bread!! Melts in your mouth. Loved the crispiness of the brown sugar as it mingled with the soft, sweet, warm cinnamon apples. Yum!!!! Thumbs up! I also added 2 apples and some cinnamon to the batter.
So glad you enjoyed it!
It is the best one I have tasted. Did one part different. Mixed the apples with the sugar and cinnamon and added another apple.
So glad you liked it!
The bread is good but the better cooks up a little flat in flavor. I will definitely try it again and add cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice to the batter as someone suggested.
Best bread ever was so easy to make and your house smells so good while it’s baking
wowza!!! so delicious! it’s been over a year since I made this and it never disappoints! I’m not good at baking or cooking, but this made me look like a boss in the kitchen! thank you!
OH MY LANTA. Just made this and took my first bite a few minutes ago. DELICIOUS and not overly sweet. It literally came out perfect. I used 2 apples instead of 1 and added some pumpkin pie spice to the cinnamon mixture but did everything else the same. I’m so impressed and my taste buds are dancing! Thank you!
You’re welcome! I’m so glad you liked it!
If I double the recipe, could I make it in a Bundt pan
I have not tried it Marilynn, so I am not sure
