Easter dinner in the South is a part of our Easter celebrations that we take very seriously! But what is a traditional Southern Easter dinner? If you’ve never indulged in the rich flavors of a Southern meal on Easter Sunday, you’ve been missing out! Some of my favorite recipes ever are on our Southern Easter menu every year, so I can’t wait to share them with you!

These Southern Easter dinner recipes are like the ultimate soul food recipes guide. Making these as an adult is like a taste of home from our childhoods. 

Easter Ham

We’ve always had ham for Easter dinner, but depending on whose dinner table you’re at, you may find a different meat of choice. Some likely options are brown sugar ham, prime rib, and roast beef. Personally, I prefer a classic option like honey-baked ham for our holiday menu.

Leg of Lamb

Leg of lamb is another great option to be the star of your Easter menu. You can make it easy by making it in the slow cooker or make Instant Pot leg of lamb.

Green bean casserole is a classic recipe that’s a Southern staple and a personal favorite of mine! This casserole dish is not only one of the best easter side dishes, but it’s also served for other holiday meals like Thanksgiving.
