This Easy Sparkling Berry Sangria recipe is fast, ready in just five minutes, and you can customize it with whichever summer berries you have on hand. It's the perfect summer cocktail!

There are not many things I like better than sitting out on my porch with good friends and great conversation on a summer evening sipping on a delicious cocktail! I love trying new mixes and sangria is obviously one of the easiest and most fun summer concoctions to serve when entertaining.

I get tons of emails asking about these glasses, they are gorgeous and inexpensive, find them here. (affiliate link)

    Ingredients

    • Sparkling White Wine – choose a light, crisp version
    • Grand Marnier – this deepens the flavor with its blend of Cognac brandy, distilled essence of bitter orange, and sugar
    • White Cranberry Juice – the tart grapefruit adds sweetness and depth of flavor
    • Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries – this fruity sangria recipe wouldn’t be complete without a hefty dose of fruit to enhance the flavor!

    Step by step

This sangria couldn't be easier to pull together! We're using sparkling wine so it is best to make it when ready to drink.

    1. Cut the strawberries into slices and add to a pitcher along with the other berries.
    2. Pour in the Grand Marnier and cranberry juice.
    3. If serving immediately pour in the sparkling wine to top it off. Give it a stir and serve. If making up to an hour in advance, keep in the refrigerator and add the sparkling wine just before serving.

    FAQs

What wine is best for a white sangria?

Unlike traditional sangria which uses red wines like Malbec, I prefer to use a sparkling white wine for this recipe.
I prefer Prosecco but you can use Lambrusco, Champagne, or even a Rosé! It will taste delicious no matter which you pick and you can stay on the cheaper more affordable side because you are adding so many other flavors to the wine. Yay for inexpensive cocktails!

Why can't I make this farther in advance than one hour?

Because the berries are delicate, I don't make this sangria too far in advance, no more than an hour, so the berries don't get soggy. It whips up in five minutes so it's easy to throw together right when you need it!

What if it is too strong for me?

This sangria is not as strong as others but you can easily dilute it to taste. To lighten up the sangria, add seltzer to top off your drink.

    Tips for best results

    • I usually make my sangria with strawberries and blueberries but you can add raspberries, blackberries, whatever you have on hand. It always turns out delicious!
    • Use as fresh fruit as you can find for the best flavor.
    • Serve the sangria with cocktail skewers so you can eat the fruit as you drink!
