    Why I love this recipe

I started making these colorful cookies with my boys when they were in preschool. They loved the bright, fun colors and the recipe is so simple that the kids can make it almost on their own.

I also love that the cookies are finished in under thirty minutes start to finish. With just ten minutes prep time and ten minutes of baking, you can have these delicious cookies ready in no time!

It's also fun to experiment with different flavors of Kool-Aid when making these cookies, not only for the flavor but also for the colors. They are a basic sugar drop cookie but the Kool-Aid adds a little kick of flavor to the recipes, making them sweet and fruity!

    Tips for best results

    • Don't be afraid to experiment with different flavors and colors!
    • Do not mix in plastic bowls or with plastic utensils as the Kool Aid may stain.

    Description

Kool-Aid Cookies are a fun, flavorful drop cookie that can be ready in just twenty minutes! Try this under 30-minute dessert recipe that both kids and adults will love!

    Ingredients

    Units Scale
    • 1 ⅔ cups Sugar
    • 1 ¼ cups butter
    • 2 eggs
    • ½ tsp salt
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 3 cups of flour
    • Kool-Aid in your choice of flavor(s)

    Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
    2. In a mixer cream together butter and sugar.
    3. Add eggs and mix well.
    4. Add salt and baking soda.
    5. Add flour to butter mixture ½ cup at a time and mix well.
    6. If you would like more than flavor of cookies divide your dough into separate bowls now.
    7. I divided my dough into four equal portions and used one half packet of Kool-Aid per portion. If you are making only two colors you will use one packet of Kool-Aid per half, if you only want one color use two packets for the entire recipe.
    8. Mix Kool-Aid into dough until well blended and color is even.
    9. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes.
    10. Let cool one minute before removing from pan.

    Notes

    • Don't be afraid to experiment with different flavors and colors!
    • Do not mix in plastic bowls or with plastic utensils as the Kool Aid may stain.

These were perfect! I had to make modifications due to allergies (Pamela's gluten-free flour, Country Crock dairy-free butter sticks), and they still turned out amazing! I used cherry Koolaid and added dairy free chocolate chips. Thanks for the recipe!

I'm actually making some cherry ones as we speak. Their very sticky as far as the consistency of the dough. Im thinking how to make them so I can actually roll them out & cut them into Christmas shapes. I found alot of other recipes that u could roll out but they all called for butter & shortening & I actually ran out of shortening a fee hrs ago while making sugar cookies lol & I want to get all this done tonight so I can decorate all the ones that need decorating. So no store, plus this recipe looked alot better but I need to add more flour so they can be rolled & cut but I'm nervous that I'll mess em up lol cuz I've never made anything like these before using koolaid . Any suggestions or maybe I'll leave em be and put a kiss in the middle 🤔

I don't think these will convert to roll out cookies as the recipe is written Trina, like you noticed they are quite sticky!

What a fun way to make colorful fruity cookies! I've tried a similar Jello cookie recipe, but was a little disappointed in the results. I'd love to try these pretty cookies. Thanks for sharing!
