If you’re on the hunt for that perfect sweet treat that’s not only delicious but also super easy to whip up, vanilla fudge is the recipe for you. I love easy fudge recipes like our peanut butter fudge or microwave fudge, and this one is another but with only TWO ingredients!
This creamy delight is all about rich white chocolate chips perfectly blended with sweetened condensed milk for a silky, melt-in-your-mouth experience. It’s the kind of treat that makes you feel like you’re indulging in a bit of luxury, even on an ordinary Tuesday night.
Why I love this recipe
- with only 2 ingredients and a microwave, you can have this homemade fudge ready to go, no candy thermometer required!
- it takes only a few minutes to prep and then chilling time in the fridge so it’s great to prep early in the day to enjoy in the evening

Ingredients
- sweetened condensed milk
- semi-sweet white chocolate chips
Items Needed
- 8×8 baking pan
- parchment paper
Step by step
- Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
- Place the chocolate chips in a medium mixing bowl. Microwave on high for one minute.
- After microwaving, add the sweetened condensed milk to the chocolate chips and microwave again for another minute, or until the chocolate chips are completely smooth when stirred. Stir thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly, tapping the pan on the counter to flatten and release any air bubbles. Place the pan in the fridge for 4 hours, or until the fudge is set.
- To serve, slice the fudge into 1-inch pieces using a sharp knife.
Tips for best results
- Be careful to not overcook the chocolate chips. They will get hard and clumpy, which isn’t the best for fudge and appearances. I tend to pause and check the mixture every 30 seconds while in the microwave, just in case.
- You can choose any flavor of chocolate chips to mix up the flavor of the fudge.
- Use a 16-ounce can of vanilla frosting in place of the sweetened condensed milk, if you need another option in its place.
- Don’t just use nonstick spray on your pan as it doesn’t work and makes it difficult to get the fudge out. Parchment paper is the only way to go.
- If your fudge won’t set up, it means you didn’t use enough chocolate chips. If the fudge is too hard, it means you use too many chocolate chips.
Serving suggestions
Try serving your fudge with a side of fresh berries or a dollop of whipped cream for a contrasting taste. For the ultimate indulgence, enjoy it alongside a steaming mug of hot coffee, frozen coffee, hot chocolate, or a refreshing strawberry iced tea.
Variations
- mix in chopped almonds, walnuts, or pecans for a crunchy texture.
- fold in dried cranberries or cherries for a tart contrast.
- stir in a pinch of cinnamon or cardamom for a warming spice note.
- sprinkle crushed candy canes on top before chilling for a holiday treat.
Storage
Store your fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain its freshness and texture. It can last up to two weeks when stored properly.
For longer storage, you can freeze the fudge for up to three months. Just make sure to wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then place it in a freezer bag.

Hi.sounds good.are you sure it’s only one 12 ounce bag of white chocolate chips?and not two??thanks
Yes, I use one bag of the chips and one can of the condensed milk.
So is it only one 12 ounce bag of white chocolate chips??thanks
I added crushed peppermint and I got a peppermint oil turned out fantastic. Just wondered what could I wrap each piece of fudge in so they wouldn’t stick together. Thank you for your time.
