This is the best spinach artichoke dip I've tried and the perfect easy appetizer recipe for entertaining!

Hand holding cracker scooping up Spinach Artichoke Dip from white casserole dish

Yesterday I shared an easy Cheeseball Recipe and today I'm sharing another of my very favorite appetizer recipes-Spinach Artichoke Dip! This has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid and my mom would make it for parties.

    Why I love this recipe

    • it's so easy to prep beforehand and then bake just before guests arrive
    • the warm, creamy dip is complemented by the tangy artichokes and spinach
    • it is always the first appetizer gone at parties
    • spinach and artichokes, this totally counts as your veggies for the day!

    Ingredients

    • parmesan cheese
    • frozen chopped spinach
    • artichoke hearts
    • sour cream
    • cream cheese
    • mayonnaise
    • garlic

    Step by step

    1. Mix cheese, spinach, and artichoke hearts in a medium bowl.
    2. In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients and mix until blended.
    3. Combine the two bowls together and stir to mix. Pour into a baking dish.
    4. Bake for 30 minutes and serve warm.

    How to serve

I like to serve this dip along with crackers or sliced French bread. You could also use pita chips, tortilla chips, or even melba toast, the possibilities are endless!

    FAQs

    Can I use fresh spinach?

Yes, if you want to use fresh spinach steam it, then blanch in ice water. Remove excess water and chop.

Can I make this dip ahead of time?

This is a great recipe to prep ahead of time. Store in the fridge and 30 minutes before baking set at room temperature.

How do you reheat the dip?

    Simply microwave to reheat.

Can I make it less calories?

Using lowfat cream cheese, mayo, and sour cream will lighten this recipe up.

    Can I freeze it?

I do not recommend freezing this dip, the texture will change.

This recipe is very similar to the regular 4 ingredient Parmesan artichoke dip I've shared before but the addition of the spinach gives it a nice extra touch. If you have artichoke or spinach fans in your house you'll love it!
