Yesterday I shared an easy Cheeseball Recipe and today I’m sharing another of my very favorite appetizer recipes-Spinach Artichoke Dip! This has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid and my mom would make it for parties.
Why I love this recipe
- it’s so easy to prep beforehand and then bake just before guests arrive
- the warm, creamy dip is complemented by the tangy artichokes and spinach
- it is always the first appetizer gone at parties

Ingredients
- parmesan cheese
- frozen chopped spinach
- artichoke hearts
- sour cream
- cream cheese
- mayonnaise
- garlic
Step by step
- Mix cheese, spinach, and artichoke hearts in a medium bowl.
- In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients and mix until blended.
- Combine the two bowls together and stir to mix. Pour into a baking dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes and serve warm.
How to serve
There are a lot of choices for what to serve with spinach dip. I like to serve this dip along with crackers or sliced French bread. You could also use pita chips, tortilla chips, crostini, or even melba toast, the possibilities are endless!

Yes, if you want to use fresh spinach steam it, then blanch in ice water. Remove excess water and chop.
This is a great recipe to prep ahead of time. Store in the fridge and 30 minutes before baking set at room temperature.
Simply microwave to reheat.
Using lowfat cream cheese, mayo, and sour cream will lighten this recipe up.
I do not recommend freezing this dip, the texture will change.
This recipe is very similar to the regular 4 ingredient Parmesan artichoke dip I’ve shared before but the addition of the spinach gives it a nice extra touch. If you have artichoke or spinach fans in your house you’ll love it!

Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded parmesan cheese
- 10 oz box frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained thoroughly
- 14 oz can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 2/3 cup sour cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
- In a medium bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, spinach, and artichoke hearts, set aside.
- Combine remaining ingredients in a separate bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Add spinach mix to cheese mixture and stir to blend. Pour into baking dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
- Serve with crackers or sliced French bread.
