Ingredients
These brownies are super easy with just a few simple ingredients:
- strawberry cake mix
- eggs
- vanilla extract
- vegetable oil
- cream cheese
- powdered sugar
- strawberry jam
- milk
- fresh strawberries
Step by step
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray an 8 by 8 inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl with a hand mixer or stand mixer (affiliate link), mix cake mix, oil, vanilla extract, cream cheese, and eggs until just blended. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-24 minutes or until middle is just set and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool completely at room temperature.
- Once cake is cool stir together powdered sugar, jam, and milk to form a glaze. Spread over the brownies and garnish with strawberry slices before serving if desired.
Variations
- skip the glaze and use a homemade or store-bought strawberry frosting instead, or simply serve without a topping
- serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream
- mix in white chocolate chips
- add a sprinkle of powder sugar
Storage
Store leftover strawberry cake mix brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
