Tips for best results

  • Start with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Opt for a good-quality smoked salmon, preferably wild-caught, and fresh bagels.
  • You can use plain cream cheese or try flavored varieties like chive or garlic for extra flavor.
  • If you like a little kick, consider adding a few slices of jalapeño or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to your bagel.

Serving Suggestions

While the Smoked Salmon Bagel is a delightful meal on its own, you can elevate your dining experience by serving it with:

  • Fresh Fruit Salad: Balance out the richness of the bagel with a refreshing fruit salad on the side, this watermelon mint salad is one of my favorites.
  • Mixed Greens: A simple side salad dressed with a light vinaigrette adds a burst of freshness to your plate.
  • Pickles or Olives: For a tangy contrast, serve with a side of pickles or olives.

Storage

This recipe is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 days. Keep in mind that the bagels may become soggy over time, so it’s best to assemble them just before serving.
