Ingredients

- little Debbie Christmas tree cakes
- cream cheese
- milk
- vanilla extract
- whipped topping or cool whip
- red and green sprinkles, or holiday-themed sprinkles, for decoration
Step by step
- Prepare the Cakes: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and chop them into small pieces. You want them small enough that they’ll blend smoothly into the dip but still maintain a bit of texture.
- Make the Snack Cake Dip: In a large mixing bowl, using a hand mixer, combine the chopped cakes, milk, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. The cakes should fully break down, infusing the mixture with their signature sweet flavor.

- Fold in the Whipped Topping: Gently fold the whipped topping or Cool Whip into the mixture until it’s fully incorporated. This step creates a light, fluffy texture, so avoid overmixing to keep it airy.
- Chill & Set: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl or platter, then refrigerate for at least an hour. Chilling helps the dip thicken and allows the flavors to meld perfectly.
- Decorate: Just before serving, sprinkle red and green (or holiday-themed) sprinkles over the top. This adds a festive pop of color and a bit of crunch.
- Serve & Enjoy: Serve the dip with your choice of dippers such as vanilla wafers, fresh fruit like strawberries or apple slices, cookies, or graham crackers. Enjoy!

Tips for best results
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature to avoid any lumps when mixing. Avoid overmixing the whipped topping to keep the dip soft, airy, and perfectly creamy.
- Allow the dip to chill for at least an hour as it helps the flavors develop and the texture set beautifully.
- Use bright and festive sprinkles for a visually appealing, holiday-ready finish.

Variations
You can easily customize this recipe by using different flavors of Little Debbie Cakes like Zebra Cakes or Swiss Rolls for a delicious variation.
Adding a small amount of peppermint extract will create a cool, holiday-inspired flavor that’s perfect for parties. For a bit of crunch and added flair, incorporate mini chocolate chips or crushed candy canes just before serving.
Serving suggestions
For a tried-and-true option, serve little Debbie Christmas tree dip with vanilla wafers, animal crackers, or graham crackers. If you’re after something light and refreshing, fresh fruit like apples, bananas, or strawberries makes a fantastic choice.
If you want to add a festive touch, cream cheese sugar cookies or gingerbread cookies are the way to go. And for those who love a good mix of sweet and salty, pretzels bring a crispy texture and the perfect flavor contrast.
Storage
Store your leftovers in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap in the fridge for up to three days. When it’s time to serve again, give it a quick stir to bring back its creamy consistency. This dip is a fantastic make-ahead treat that fits perfectly into a hectic holiday schedule.
I do not recommend freezing this dip due to the change in texture after thawing. BUT you can always freeze the Little Debbie snack cakes during the holiday season and thaw them at a later date to enjoy this dip year round.
