- dark salted caramel Rolos – Rolos are chocolates with caramel centers, you can find them in bulk bags in the candy aisle in the grocery store
- pretzel snaps, or mini twists, or waffle rounds – the smaller holes ensure you don’t waste any chocolate!
- red and green M&Ms – not Christmas? choose any colors you like!
- holiday nonpareil sprinkles – these are optional but make them oh-so-pretty
Step by step
- Preheat the oven to 250°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on the tray, then place one Rolo on top of each pretzel.
- Bake for 2-3 minutes, just enough to soften the Rolo without completely melting and flattening. (I recommend 2 minutes for room-temperature Rolos, and 3 minutes if they’re chilled.)
- Once out of the oven, press an M&M gently into the center of each Rolo. Work quickly before the chocolate sets! Immediately after add a sprinkle of nonpareil sprinkles on top.
- Let the bites set at room temperature for about 20 minutes or chill in the fridge for 10 minutes to speed up the process. Enjoy!

- Be sure to keep an eye on the Rolos while they’re in the oven. They should soften, not melt.
- If you’re in a rush, refrigerating them will speed up the setting process.
