Eggs are a favorite in my house and we like to make them in all different kinds of ways with lots of different sides, but scrambled is my favorite! The sides below offer a little bit of everything. Whether you’re looking for something sweet, indulgent, fast and easy, or something to make on a slow Saturday morning, you’ll find something in this list!

1. Avocado Toast

Smash up some ripe avocado on a piece of toasted bread, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. The creamy avocado complements the eggs beautifully and gives you some healthy fat first thing in the morning to keep you full and satisfied.

2. Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are super easy, filling, and a great addition to your egg breakfast. Quickly whip up some scrambled eggs for an egg sandwich and enjoy a sweet side of overnight oats to complete the meal.

3. Hash Browns and Bacon or Sausage

The ultimate comfort food breakfast has to include hash browns and breakfast meats like crispy bacon or sausage links or patties! You can opt for turkey bacon or veggie sausages if you want to go a healthier route, but these sides are classic pairings for eggs. You can also try a tasty bacon hash brown casserole!

4. Cinnamon Rolls

You can’t go wrong with cinnamon rolls as a side for any egg dishes. They’re a widely loved breakfast food, especially topped with cream cheese frosting! If you like something sweet with your eggs, this is a great pick!

5. Fried Apples

Speaking of a sweet side, this one tastes like apple pie but it’s healthy enough to enjoy for breakfast! Fried apples are a sweet alternative to dessert for breakfast.

6. Greek Yogurt and Honey

Creamy Greek yogurt drizzled with honey is a great contrast to the richness of eggs. It’s also extremely easy, so you’ll be spending less time in the kitchen in the morning. You can even prep this the night before.

7. Cheesy Grits

Grits are a Southern classic, and when they’re loaded with cheddar cheese like the base for our shrimp and grits they make an indulgent and satisfying side for your eggs. If you don’t want to add cheese, you can add salt and butter or make them sweet with a little sugar.

8. Bagels or English Muffins

Make a healthy breakfast sandwich with a bagel or English muffins! Breakfast sandwiches are great with eggs prepared in any way, but my favorite is a fried egg or sunny-side-up eggs!

9. Smoked Salmon

Elevate your breakfast to a gourmet level with a side of smoked salmon. This fancier side has a great smoky flavor that complements eggs wonderfully. This is a great and easy side dish for eggs if you’re entertaining.

10. Fried Green Tomatoes

Sliced green tomatoes, lightly fried in olive oil, become tender and sweet, making them a fantastic side for eggs. Fried tomatoes make a great side for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, but we love having them for breakfast. You can even make a nice creamy sauce to pour over the tomatoes and eggs.

11. French Toast Sticks

Thick slices of bread soaked in a sweet, cinnamon-infused batter and fried to golden perfection are a breakfast classic that pairs wonderfully with eggs. I love French toast sticks made in the air fryer and served with eggs made in all different ways!

12. Pancakes

Fluffy pancakes are the perfect contrast to the savory flavor of your eggs. Top them with a dollop of butter and syrup for a perfect sweet and savory combo.

13. Sweet Potato Hash

Diced sweet potatoes, bell peppers, and onions sautéed to caramelized perfection make a great nutritious side for your eggs. Plus they’re nice and filling!

Corned beef is chopped and sautéed with potatoes in this classic Southern breakfast side dish. You can buy it pre-made in a can or make corned beef hash with canned corned beef as well.

15. Banana Bread

A slice of homemade banana bread, warm from the oven and slathered with butter, is a sweet treat that perfectly complements your morning eggs and puts a smile on everyone’s faces!
