Description

Ranch Seasoned Oyster Crackers are an easy to make snack that’s perfect for parties or simply keeping on hand for snacking!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 ounce package oyster crackers
  • 1 packet Ranch dressing seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • Place crackers in a large bowl and pour both vegetable oil and butter over, toss to coat.
  • In a small bowl combine ranch seasoning, dill weed and garlic powder. Mix.
  • Pour the seasoning over crackers and toss with a spoon until evenly coated
  • Spread crackers in a single layer across two baking sheets.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.

Notes

  • if you don’t have ranch seasoning on hand you can make homemade ranch seasoning to substitute
  • Spice it up: add in ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper or 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Sweet version: omit olive oil and add ¼ cup granulated sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon instead of the ranch and spices
  • Mexican style: use taco seasoning in place of ranch seasoning and omit the dill
  • Unbaked: some recipes don’t bake the crackers but I recommend not skipping the baking, it really crisps up the crackers and all that flavor!
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 5 days
