  • 1 pound halved raw pecans
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt

  1. Preheat the oven to 275ยฐF. Spray a cookie sheet thoroughly with nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the egg white, water, and vanilla extract. Whisk until frothy to create a light coating for the pecans.
  3. Place the pecans in a large bowl and pour the egg mixture over them. Stir until all the pecans are evenly coated.
  4. In a gallon-sized plastic bag, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Seal the bag and shake to mix everything.
  5. Pour the coated pecans into the bag with the sugar mixture. Seal the bag and shake well until the pecans are fully covered.
  6. Spread the pecans in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 50 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even roasting.
  7. Remove the pecans from the oven and let them cool completely before serving or storing. Enjoy!
