- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tbsp dry yeast
- 3 cloves garlic
- 8 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 6 tbsp fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven at 350°F
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix the dry ingredients together: flour, yeast, and salt, until well combined.
- Then, add the buttermilk and 1 tablespoon of butter. Mix everything using a spatula until a small ball of dough forms. Set it aside in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- When the dough has doubled in size, transfer it to a flat surface, sprinkle it with flour, and roll it into a 16×10-inch rectangle using a rolling pin.
- In a separate bowl, combine the remaining butter, freshly chopped garlic, and parsley.
- Spread the garlic mixture evenly over the dough using a fork or knife. Roll the dough into a log.
- Cut the log of dough in half and braid the two halves together. Twist the dough into a figure 8 shape and transfer it into a medium-sized loaf pan or baking dish.
- Bake for 35 minutes in a preheated oven at 350°F.
