Description

This sauce is a decadent mix of buttery garlic goodness and creamy Parmesan cheese. A perfect addition to pasta, veggies, or even in a grilled pork and chicken for an extra cheesy kick.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 23 tablespoons minced garlic (depends on your garlic taste levels)
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper, season to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the garlic and Italian seasoning, and cook until fragrant for 45-60 seconds.
  2. Add the flour and whisk or stir with a rubber spatula to form a paste.
  3. Slowly pour in the broth, whisking constantly until smooth and combined.
  4. Bring to a low simmer over medium heat for about 2 minutes or until it thickens.
  5. Add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Whisk and heat until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  7. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
