Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup Valentine's M&;Ms

Instructions

  1. Combine butter, vanilla, and egg in a mixer until blended. 
  2. Add flour, sugars, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Mix on low until blended.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  4. Form dough into 1/4 cup balls and place on plate or baking dish. Refrigerate 3 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place chilled dough balls 2 inches apart on prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow to cook 10 minutes before serving.
