Description

This simple Sparkling Strawberry Sangria is only 5 ingredients and the perfect cocktail to serve at all your summer parties! Light, refreshing, and easy to prepare ahead of time.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 15 strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup white rum
  • 1 bottle (750 oz) white wine
  • 1 bottle (750 oz) sparkling rosé wine
  • rosemary for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large container combine strawberries, simple syrup, rum, and white wine.
  2. Stir well and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  3. Just prior to serving add in the sparkling wine.
  4. Serve over ice with rosemary garnish if desired.

Notes

  • Prep the strawberry mixture up to 8 hours in advance and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • Allow to soak at least 1 hour before serving for the best taste.
  • To keep the sangria cold when serving, add frozen strawberries to the pitcher!
  • Omit the rum to tone down the alcohol content.
  • Sangria can pack a punch without tasting like it, so be aware when drinking that it’s a strong drink.
