Description

Slow cooker smothered chicken features tender chicken breasts cooked in a rich, creamy gravy made from cream of mushroom and chicken soups. This dump-it-and-forget-it 5 minute prep meal is perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Trim the chicken breasts and place them in your slow cooker.
  2. Pour the cream of mushroom soup and cream of chicken soup over the chicken.
  3. Sprinkle in the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and paprika. Stir.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 7.5-8 hours.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked through, shred it with two forks, then mix it back into the gravy.
  6. Serve up with rice, egg noodles, or mashed potatoes.
