Description

Give your breakfast a sweet upgrade with Coffee Creamer French Toast! This fun twist on a classic uses flavored coffee creamer to add a rich, indulgent taste to every bite, making mornings extra special.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf bakery white bread
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla-flavored coffee creamer
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Slice the bread into thick 1-inch slices to ensure it soaks up the custard without getting too soggy.
  2. In a shallow bowl or dish (a 9×13 pan works great), mix the milk, coffee creamer, eggs, honey, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  3. Dip each bread slice into the custard mixture, letting it soak for about 30 seconds per side. Once soaked, transfer the slices to a baking rack to drain for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Spray a large pan with cooking spray and melt a little butter over medium-low heat. Cook each slice of bread for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the cooked slices to a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 5 minutes to ensure the center is perfectly fluffy.
  6. Serve and topped with powdered sugar and syrup, or your favorite toppings!

Notes

If you do not have vanilla coffee creamer, you can substitute it with another flavor of creamer, plain heavy cream, half-and-half, or even milk, although the flavor will change slightly.

Be sure to slice the bread a full inch thick—if it is too thin, you will end up with floppy, soggy toast!
