- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 15 ounce jar of alfredo sauce (our favorite is Bertoli)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup freshly shredded Parmesan
Instructions
- Heat butter over medium heat in a medium saucepan.
- Once melted, add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the jar of sauce, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning. Stir to mix.
- Bring to just a simmer. Add cheese and simmer until cheese is melted, stirring often. Serve immediately over pasta, with chicken or shrimp, or however you prefer.
Notes
Freshly shredded Parmesan is preferred as pre-shredded or grated cheese have a powder coating in them to prevent sticking. This coating can make the final texture of the sauce grainy.
