Description

Elevate your Thanksgiving feast with our homemade turkey rub recipe. This blend of aromatic herbs and spices will infuse your turkey with an irresistible flavor and create a mouthwatering crust. With just a few simple ingredients, you can take your holiday centerpiece to a whole new level of deliciousness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Mix the seasonings together and store in an airtight container until you are ready to season your meat.
  2. Dry turkey with paper towels, then place on a rack in a roasting pan.
  3. Rub the seasoning all over the entire turkey. You can rub it directly onto the skin, under the skin of the turkey for a more intense flavor infusion, or even mix it with melted butter or olive oil and apply it as a paste.
  4. Allow the turkey to rest 30 minutes to an hour before baking to let the seasonings penetrate, this is called dry brining. You can apply the dry brine up to 24 hours in advance for maximum flavor.
