Ingredients

Units Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Oreo Cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • candy melts, you can choose any colors
  • sprinkles, optional

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Using a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies until fine crumbs.
  2. In a mixer, blend the crushed cookies with softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Chill the dough for about 20 minutes until firm to make it easier to work with.
  4. Scoop the dough out in about 1/4 cup portions roll it into an egg shape and place them on a wax paper-lined tray.
  5. Melt the candy according to the package directions.
  6. Using a toothpick, dip and coat each truffle into the candy melts, tapping off any excess.
  7. Let the candy coating harden. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Freeze the dough for 1-2 hours and work in small batches when dipping. Frozen truffles are much easier to handle and give the best results!
  • For a “fancy” finish, use frosting pens or edible markers. We had fun with what we had, but those tools give a cleaner look!
