Ingredients

For the Salad:

  • 1 lb whole brussel sprouts, shredded or finely chopped
  • 1/4 red onion, chopped
  • 4 slices bacon, fried and chopped
  • 1/3 cup candied pecans
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 honey crisp apple, chopped

For the Maple Dressing:

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the Brussels sprouts in a food processor and shred.
  2. Cook the bacon, drain it, and let it cool for 3-4 minutes, then chop it up.
  3. Add the shredded Brussels sprouts, red onion, pecans, cranberries, apples, and chopped bacon to a large bowl.
  4. In a mason jar, add all of the dressing ingredients. Secure with a lid and shake until combined.
  5. Toss the salad in the dressing when ready to serve.
