Bourbon BBQ Sauce is sweet, smoky, and ready in just 20 minutes. Once you try making your own barbecue sauce you’ll never go back to bottled sauces again!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 3/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan and whisk to mix.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to a simmer for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring often, or until the sauce thickens. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
