Slow Cooker Turkey Chili combines tender turkey, vegetables, and a perfect blend of spices, for a fuss-free chili perfect for busy days.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey (93/7)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 14-ounce can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 28-ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 15-ounce can tomato sauce
Instructions
- Brown the ground turkey over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic and cook for 4-5 minutes or until turkey is cooked through.
- Transfer the meat and veggie mixture to the crock pot along with the remaining ingredients. Stir to mix thoroughly.
- Cook on high for 4-5 hours or low 8-10 hours. Serve with your favorite toppings
Notes
Store leftover chili in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop, adding extra liquid (water or chicken broth) if needed.
