Description

Slow Cooker Turkey Chili combines tender turkey, vegetables, and a perfect blend of spices, for a fuss-free chili perfect for busy days.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey (93/7)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground chipotle
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 14-ounce can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 28-ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 15-ounce can tomato sauce
 

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground turkey over medium-high heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic and cook for 4-5 minutes or until turkey is cooked through.
  3. Transfer the meat and veggie mixture to the crock pot along with the remaining ingredients. Stir to mix thoroughly.
  4. Cook on high for 4-5 hours or low 8-10 hours. Serve with your favorite toppings

Notes

Store leftover chili in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop, adding extra liquid (water or chicken broth) if needed.
