Fried Green Tomatoes

Southern Fried Green Tomatoes are a classic summer treat! This easy recipe straight from the Lowcountry can be on the table in less than 30 minutes!

INGREDIENTS

green unripe tomatoes flour - cornmeal egg - milk - hot sauce salt & pepper

Slice the tomatoes and blot dry with a paper towel

dredge in flour and let sit 5 minutes on a wire rack

Dredge again in flour, then egg wash, then cornmeal mixture. Fry 3-4 minutes per side

serve hot with remoulade or buttermilk ranch
