No recipes or tips today-just life! You may have noticed that it’s been a bit crickets here on the blog the past few weeks, honestly I’ve been overwhelmed with life! After nearly a year our time in England is coming to a close. Today I’m writing this surrounded by boxes as our first shipment is being packed and carted off to meet us in Georgia next month. So much to tell you….
First, my mother came to visit earlier this month and we had a whirlwind two weeks as I carted her all around England and even took a fast three day trip to Paris-a dream trip we had talked about since I was a little girl!
After “mum” was safely back stateside I was blessed to have the opportunity to attend the Royal Ascot horse races which was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had this year-I even got to see the queen!
It was so much fun and of course I loved dressing the part complete with a feathered fascinator!
And while the past few weeks have been all travel and fun this week we’ve turned towards the move. This will probably be our hardest military move leaving the amazing community and friends we’ve made here. My older boys (9 and 10 years old) are particularly struggling with it.
The good news is that this should actually be our LAST move! More than likely my husband will retire from the Army out of this next duty station and WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! Well, actually I’ll close on the house a couple of days after we arrive back in the US so expect LOTS of pictures coming up, but here’s a little sneak peek!
Do you see that Spanish moss?? I’m SO excited!
So, that’s where we are right now. We have one more little road trip to make this weekend and then the following weekend we have what is looking like an amazing masquerade ball to attend so I will be sure to post photos of that! Then two weeks from today I’ll be back Stateside!
Thank you for following along with our little adventure this year, and bearing with me as the blog posts get sporadic. I do have some amazing bloggers lined up to guest post for me over the next month or so as I get settled into our new home, and I can’t wait to share them with you soon.
