How to Tie a Wreath Bow

Not every DIY has to be complicated, right? Today’s tutorial is super easy but something that’s so useful to learn-how to tie a wreath bow! These bows are {obviously} awesome on wreaths but you can use them in so many more places. So without further ado, a very photo heavy but super easy tutorial showing how to make make a bow for a wreath so you know how to make a wreath bow too!
How to Make a Wreath Bow
Supplies:
Wired Ribbon
Floral Wire
Before starting cut a piece of floral wire about 5-6″ long and form into a “V” shape. Set aside.
To start hold the piece of ribbon in your non-dominant hand and make a loop leaving about an eight inch tail.
Continue holding the ribbon and fold the ribbon in the opposite direction forming a figure eight.
Continue looping the ribbon back and forth until you have at least four loops on each side.
Using the floral wire set aside earlier loop the wire around the center of the bow and twist the two ends to secure the ribbon.
Ohmygoodness y’all can I tell you that I have THE. WORST. NAILS. ever. Just look away until you scroll down, I won’t be offended.

Trim the ribbon leaving another 8″ tail and wrap the tail around the center of the bow to cover the wire. Fluff the loops to your liking and you’re done making a bow out of ribbon!
Once you know how to make a wreath bow you’ll find you use it all the time. Sometimes I’ll make a wreath bow and use it to decorate Christmas presents or even a hair bow for little girls (just make sure wire is trimmed down and hot glue to a barrette!)
