Halloween Countdown Bucket List

Can you believe tomorrow it’s October? The countdown to Halloween can begin! I love Halloween and to celebrate all month leading up to it. I created a list of 31 Halloween countdown activities and a free printable Halloween Bucket list to help you keep track. (Scroll to the bottom of the blog post for the printable.)

Halloween Countdown Activities

You don’t have to do these in any particular order (except for #31!) it’s fun to cross them off as the month goes on and the kids LOVE it!

  1. Carve pumpkins
  2. Make caramel apples
  3. “Boo” a neighbor
  4. Make handprint bats
  5. Visit a pumpkin patch
  6. Go to a corn maze
  7. Take a hay ride
  8. Roast pumpkin seeds
  9. Jump in leaf piles
  10. Drink apple cider
  11. Collect autumn leaves
  12. Bake an apple pie
  13. Have a scavenger hunt
  14. Make leaf rubbings
  15. Take an evening walk to admire neighborhood jack o’lanterns
  16. Put up fake cobwebs
  17. Light a fall scented candle
  18. Make coffee filter pumpkins
  19. Have an autumn photo shoot
  20. Create a spooky mantel
  21. Watch a Halloween movie
  22. Attend a trunk-or-treat
  23. Participate in a costume parade
  24. Roast marshmallows
  25. Have a bonfire
  26. Eat candy corn
  27. Fly a kite
  28. Bob for apples
  29. Have a tailgate picnic
  30. Make a pumpkin pie
  31. Trick or treat!

  2. Awesome list. I’ve been trying to come up with things for my kids and I to do in those long evening hours when Hubby’s out of town. It seems they stretch on forever and bedtime will never come.
