This list of the best cruise gifts has everything you’ll need to shop for the perfect gifts for cruise lovers on your shopping list!
I’ve made no secret here on the blog that I LOVE going on cruises, it’s my very favorite vacation! Today I’m sharing my favorite Gifts for Cruise Lovers like myself. First though before I get to the cruise gifts, let me tell you just why I love cruising so much!
We went on our first cruise in 2012 after my husband returned from a year in Iraq. Our boys were 5, 3 and 7 months at the time and we desperately needed a vacation that was not only relaxing but child-friendly. We chose Carnival Cruise line mostly because it was the most affordable we found and because we liked their childcare policies. (They are one of the few kid’s camps that will change diapers without an extra charge and we knew we had a few years worth of diaper duty left!) Since that trip we have gone on five others and will be spending this Christmas on a cruise as well.
So why do I love cruising so much? Let us count the reasons:
- The kid’s camps give my husband and myself alone time while letting our kids have a blast themselves.
- No cooking, cleaning or laundry during the trip!
- It’s one of the more affordable beach-type vacations for a family of five.
- We are driving distance to the ports so no expensive airfare for 5.
- Did I mention no cooking, cleaning or laundry?
- My kids like to eat dinner with the kids camps so I get dinner dates every night with the hubby!
- Three Words: Adults Only Deck! I love laying on the Serenity deck reading and enjoying the views and sea breezes
- Spa time! I usually splurge on a small spa treatment each trip, something I rarely do at home.
So now that we know why I love cruising here are some of my top cruise gifts when shopping for gifts for cruise lovers in your life!

Towel Clips for Poolside Chairs – keep those towels from blowing away with these towel clips. They also help you find your chair in the sea of cruise ship towel covered chairs, I like to choose brightly colored or designed towel clips for that reason.
Lanyards – keep your Sign and Sail card handy and sage by clipping it to a lanyard.
Insulated Mug – perfect for toting both hot and cold beverages around, cruise ship coffee cups are dreadfully small!
Selfie Stick – this one is obvious! Everyone loves a good selfie and when you have such beautiful scenery around you want to get as much of it in the picture as possible!
Waterproof phone case – I like to keep my phone with me when cruising and these waterproof phone cases help me keep it safe from splashes when on vacation!
Walkie Talkies – This is my kid’s favorite part of cruising-using walkie-talkies to communicate on board the ship instead of phones!
Metal Wall Hooks – most cruise ship walls are metallic so magnetic hooks are an easy way to keep your room from getting cluttered. Use them to post the day’s schedule or hang lanyards and sunglasses and free up precious counter space!
Suction Cup Hooks – Just like the magnetic hook, suction cup hooks can be used in the bathroom to hang shower poofs, washcloths, or bathing suits.
Refillable Water Bottle – Carrying a refillable water bottle saves you from having to buy water on board. The water out of the taps on a cruise ship is completely safe to drink!
Water Flavorings – If you don’t love the taste of the onboard water you can easily bring some water flavorings to make it more appealing. These stevia containing flavors are one of my favorites.
Seasick meds – {knocking on wood} Our family doesn’t usually have any problem with seasickness but I like to bring along medicine for it just in case. You never know if you’ll need it and if you don’t, you could help someone who does!
Funny T-shirts -I love when I see fellow cruisers with funny T-shirts, here are a few that I think are too cute!
Cruise Fund Piggy Bank – Know someone saving for their next cruise vacation? Give them this a cute gift to help motivate their savings!
Travel Clothesline – I love travel clotheslines for having extra space to hang drying swimsuits or hanging clothes that need to be line dried (if I actually motivate to do laundry while on vacation!)
Heavy Duty Cruise Luggage Tags – These are the perfect sized tags for your cruise line luggage labels!
Travel Charger with Plugs and USB – There are very few outlets in a cruise ship’s room so this travel charger is a must for our family. With all the phones, computers and tablets between the five of us it’s a necessity!
Portable Lock Box (for securing items at beach or to pool chairs) If you want to take a dip in the pool but don’t want to leave your phone or other valuables unprotected just lock this portable lock box to your chair to keep anyone from grabbing them and running off (because even thieves take vacation now and then apparently!)
Beach Bag – A cute beach bag to gather your beach or pool necessities is a no-brainer and this one is super affordable!
Cruise Guide 2018 – The Berlitz Cruising guides are the gold standard in cruise ship reviews and info, every cruise lover would love to find this gift under the tree!
Book Weight – I love book weights for holding my book open when I’m reading in a pool chair (and keeping the wind from flipping your pages!)
Cruise Coffee Mug – How cute is this mug for someone who loves to cruise?
Sand Proof Blanket – lastly, this microfiber beach blanket is perfect for those excursions off the ship because it is sandproof and dries quickly. No one wants to lug a damp sand-filled towel back on board right?
